Students are introduced with a general statistics concept, its principles of organization and activities and economic statistics sources of information. General principles in economic statistics research (monitoring) field and the most important economic indicators like grouping, summarising and perspectives are discussed. Methods which are analysed and applied - statistical monitoring, grouping, calculating of economic indicators, indexes and correlative and regressive analysis. These methods will help to collect economic information, to apply sample methods, to systemize economic information and present it in statistical tables and graphs, to analyse, to evaluate and forecast distribution and time lines, to clarify the use of the correlation methods and indices and their opportunities of practical application. Students are also taught to count, select and analyse economic indicators, to evaluate their interplay and tendencies in MS Excel and SPSS processing programmes.
